Welcome to the June edition of our newsletter!

As we wrap up the month behind us we take a look at the fruitful beginning of summer for the oikos community which welcomed a new chapter in Nottingham and brought advances in governance restructuring. This summer we make an important step towards the co-presidency model and open the call for candidates for the first co-presidential term.

In addition, June saw the launch of the Positive Impact Rating 2021 Edition at the UN PRME Global Forum and you can read about this year's results which are presented in the enwsletter. If you're still planning what to do over the summer months, we have some interesting opportunities for you in the oikos Curriculum Camp, the Carbon Literacy Training and the Virtual Climate Conference.

Never Lead Alone – oikos shift to co-presidency

We've been going through some exciting development at oikos International over the years. As our network grows and evolves, our structure needs to follow and one of the key elements of it - governance is undergoing a major change. As part of this change we are opening ourselves up to the possibility of co-presidency. This means there will be 2 presidents, working together as stewards of the oikos International team & community, and as learning partners towards a more sustainable world.

Join us for the oikos Curriuclum Camp 2021 in August!

We're excited to announce the first ever oikos Curriculum Camp this summer! The Camp is a week-long gathering for teams working on projects related to sustainability in economics and management education. It's going to take place in Italy in August and everyone interested can apply individually or as a part of the group.

Positive Impact Rating 2021 Launch at UN PRME Global Forum

The Positive Impact Rating (PIR) 2021 Report was launched this month at the UN PRME Global Forum! The PIR is a rating conducted by students and for students rating Business Schools on the basis of how well they prepare their students to face the challenges of sustainability and how much of an impact they make on the society.

Carbon Literacy Training July 2021

The new set of Carbon Literacy Training sessions is starting this Friday! By completing the four sessions in July along with an assessment you'll get a chance to become certified as Carbon Literate, after this you could go on to train others in Carbon Literacy.
